		<description>Absolutely.  I've had to teach everyone here about usability so they champion it - which weirdly I touched on at uni when I did my theses (and I'm not saying how many decades ago *that* was).

Usability is key as you say.  You won't convert a single soul if they can't use your website.

I had a 3 year running battle with IT on one site about this very issue.

		<description>Great post Julie. Usability is totally underestimated. If SEO is the "daddy" of generating traffic, "usability" is the "mummy" of conversions. 

I often say it's no point having a website if no one can find it, BUT I must admit it's no point in getting traffic if no one can USE it!

If you have already read "Don't make me think" by Steve Krug, I highly recommend it. Great book about usability!</description>
