I've had to teach everyone here about usability so they champion it - which weirdly I touched on at uni when I did my theses (and I'm not saying how many decades ago *that* was). Usability is key as you say. You won't convert a single soul if they can't use your website. I had a 3 year running battle with IT on one site about this very issue. Great post! Absolutely. Usability is totally underestimated. If SEO is the "daddy" of generating traffic, "usability" is the "mummy" of conversions. I often say it's no point having a website if no one can find it, BUT I must admit it's no point in getting traffic if no one can USE it!
