Oh, I so agree - it's worse than not having your mobile on you.

In fact, I rely on the Internet for info on just about anything. I actually get pi***d off when I search for something and no worthwhile info comes up. It's almost Internet Snobbery - a busines is not worth my time if it can't be found on the or via the net...

It's especially great for illness research - I've had situations when I'd go to the doctor after reseaching what could be wrong (according to my symptoms) and list a few things it could be... all I get back is a blank stare or attitude... what do I expect?

Anyway, I think it's worth a note that we now have our first proper swear word!!! Hurrah!

Great post Julie Chick =) And what a lovely story about how you got your grandfathers Purple Heart.

I honestly don't know what I would do without the web now. Being a single mother I'm prone to illness paranoia =) I'm always looking up ridiculous things like symptoms and possible diseases. I'm such a typical paranoid mother.

When my daughter was only a few months she had terrible problems with "colic", which by the way means fuck all, colic is just what the doctors call it when they don't know what's wrong with a baby. So I started searching around the web about possible causes and things I could do to make it better. Then I came across an article about a woman that took her child to Osteopathic Centre for Children
It's a charity so you only paid what you could afford, so I thought it was worth a go. After only 3 treatments Lily got considerably better, and I finally got some sleep! God bless the internet =)
