Anything that drives traffic is good. I’m reaklly a great advocate for sometimes (often) ignoring Google rankings when linkbuilding and just doing it for traffic alone.

Featured directory listings – depends. Are your atrget audience reading these directories and using them to find things relevant to them? If so then yes, that’ll bring the love in. If not, then really you need to focus on traffic.

I’m a big traffic fan. Anything that drives traffic drives me. But that’s just my focus – not everyone has that focus.

The links are good, but best of all, they are ones that bring traffic – once highlighted as you mentioned! Do you think this works for featured directory listings too?

I use Del.icio.us for every site, landing, and Blog post. I will tell you this, I am getting my link love..especially for the blog. I am also seeing Google traffic from people’s bookmarks on the 2cnd page results. The Blogs out perform the web sites in Del.icio.us, I suspect the Blog’s content is just easier to “catch” users. They visit and get hung up in categories, and links, and menu options…reel them in!

del.icio.us has had no effect at all for me or anyone I know who’s tried ‘using’ it – maybe there’s a knack to it that I haven’t discovered yet!

Possibly but the site is a news site (subscription based) with a jobs section. It was the jobs section getting the link love.

del.icio.us brings no traffic whatsoever for us. I guess that you really need some tech site in order to get some love from there, for other sites it is just not really worth it I fear…
