i've just recently come on your blog and found it, particularly this post quite a breath of fresh air.  I've been suggesting to my team to always keep an eye on what everyone in the industry is doing, not just the 'golden boys'.  

In addition, i also encourage them to do a bit of affiliate marketing for themselves on the side. This helps them see things from the client's side when he or she moans "but where is all this traffic you said i'd get".

I totally agree with you on these points, in SEO more than any other field you can't just believe one person, it's essential to gather several views and make your own mind up about what you think is right. Then test it out, get some proof of what works.</description>
