Hi Julie,
Sorry it has taken a few days to get back to you, all manic here!! It was just the link to you and one to Youtube that it didn't like. So the youtube one I sort of expected, but I was suprised it didn't like yours. I'm gonna leave it on there anyway though because I like it! Thanks for getting back to me! Toni

The purpose of the warning is to make you check that you got the link right.

If you are sure it is right then carry on with what you were doing.

Hi again...after reviewing some of the comments on his blog, I don't think he's going to give out his secrets on this. I can see now why a few of mine were potential problems, but I just looked at your link to us and it looks fine. Did it give you the same error for your other blogroll links?

Hi Toni,

Glad you like the site and please, feel free to ask anything at all! We were all newbies once. I, for one, continue to ask stupid questions anyway...about the dodgy link, damn damn damn that Jim Boykin! I never should have recommended that tool. OK seriously, that is a fine question. When I ran this for the Chicks blog, I got quite a few dodgy links as well, and many of them were ones with which I can't find anything wrong. I'll comment on Jim's blog and see what I can find out.

Hi Julie
I have been reading your blogs for a month or so now and have found them most useful, Thank you! (Although I have to say I am very 'green' and new to the seo and blogging world, so please excuse me if I ask any dumb questions!). I had a go at the outbound links tool which only took about 5 seconds because there were only 4 of them! But it said that my link to you guys (seo chicks) was a dodgy link! You are in my blogroll on my blog. So what does that mean? Toni

I use Xenu LinkSleuth to check all of the links on a site every month or two.

It tells you all about links that serve content, redirect, are 404, or time out.

It can be used to find out many types of problems with internal and outgoing external links.

Even the list of Page Titles can be useful for spotting duplicates, or sub-optimal wording.
