@David: Thanks for the compliment! I'm incredibly glad to have gotten into this... it's been more fun, more satisfying and more interesting than 100% of the jobs I thought I'd end up doing.

@Ann: I'm following you, via your feed reader ;)

@Ian: I never knew that Ctrl+V could be so dangerous!

@Gary: No one from SEOmoz is going to SES NY this year (or London. Boo! I should be in London right now!) but we should be sending someone to SMX East which is in October, I think.

Ha, I loved how you worked your way into this article and could just see the thoughts flowing. Maybe those commercials got you going. You've done a great job of not only breaking into this industry but also making a name for yourself. Not bad for 18 months!

Haha! That was weird checking my feed list and seeing you here [again]! I felt like I got back to SEOMoz by accident. Nice post as always!

*** I remember the first time I heard the term 'Duplicate Content', and I didn’t immediately realise that I’d hear it again every day for the rest of eternity. ***

I'm with you on that. I didn't realise that it would be quite such an important topic, and failed to realise that 99% of sites had no idea how to fix it.

I'm totally bummed! I wrote a nice review of Jane's first post and it managed to get truncated ... hmmm, me thinks it's because I used characters that were interpreted at html code - d'oh!

My first post was relatively amusing and creative, so I know I won't be able to recreat it. *sigh*

Anyhow - here's a quick summary of the post that was not posted:

Jane - great post! I'm new to SEO and I related to your story. It gave me hope that I will someday, hopefully soon, better understand what I've gotten myself into.

SES NYC - I went last year. Going again in March. Anyone else going?

SEO-Chicks.com Chicks: Great site! Love the honesty and humor!

Seattle: I miss it except of the rain, the cold, the traffic and the volcanic eruption in the early 80s.

So, yeah, definitely not as funny as my first comment.
