Hi Judith,

I think variety is the spice of life. I read the blogs of communications strategists, PR professionals and ATL/TTL creatives.

Search is increasingly becoming integrated into other aspects of marketing and advertising; keeping abreast of movements in other marketing specialties keeps my mind fresh, whilst providing me with inspiration to apply search more creatively.

In addition to broadening my reading it helps to stay in the company of creative people such as designers and creatives. A lot can be learned from their approaches to dissecting challenges.

@Dudibob Well the pub is certainly an option but I'd likely end up talking search like I was with my chiropractor the other day :-D

There are many dangers in becoming too obsessed within an industry that you forget how to communicate with everyone outside it! For me I'm usually on me own (SEO wise) and the only way I communicate is through forums/blogs/twitter lol.

But the pub I find is the best way to escape ;)
