I tell you. Rules Rules and more Rules. And more importantly I seem to use things for things people totally miss Like Keep your team update with what you are doing so they can do the same. I also like the learn aspect. You get to find the newest things before most people do. If you follow the right people

Yes Jane and Ciaran definitely use Twitter as IM. I feel like a peeping Tom, looking in their Twitter windows. Frankly, they’ve scared me off for the moment.

I’m one of the annoying people who uses Twitter as IM. People will probably unfollow me, but I’m not too worried about it

You forgot the ranter – that’s the kind of twitterer Lisa would be *ducks* and I am (I’d be in good company once we convince Lisa to join!)

I do use twitter to find information fast as well as keeping up with what’s happening with friends. When someone disappeared and wasn’t responding to email, I checked his twitter feed and found out he’d been running around without a cell phone.

Excellent post…Twitter is difficult to manage when I’m extremely busy, but I’m trying to pare down my list of people whom I follow so that I don’t have to wade through all the noise. I hated it at first, but now I love it. However, if I’m really busy, I can’t even deal with it although I can still find time for Facebook. Maybe that’s because I write on Jane’s wall every 5 minutes.
